We almost missed seeing this guy and his buddy. They must have been hiding and waiting for us to move along, because just as we started up the path, he bounded across behind us and that was at just the moment when Joe suggested we turn around and sit on the beach for our snack. Otherwise, we would have missed him because he was very quiet. He hopped just a little way into the bush then turned around and watched us for a bit. A few minutes later his buddy hopped across the path then stuck his head in a big bush so all we could see was his butt. I guess wallabies are like toddlers; they think if they can't see you, you can't see them. For the next half hour I walked with my finger on the on button of my camera just hoping for another sighting, but no such luck.
