We took a fun day trip to the Dandenong Ranges today. We rode this steam train for an hour long ride through the beautiful country side (appropriately called Ferntree Gully). As you can see in the picture, it was perfectly acceptable to sit on the window ledge and dangle your feet over the side. What a refreshing attitude! In the U.S. the lawyers would have nixed that due to worries over lawsuits. I like the idea of allowing people to do whatever foolish things they want to do and letting them live with the consequences.
