A Trip to Tasmania

We had an experience with flying that no one has had in a long time: we were never once asked to show any ID at the airport! Plus the security screening was pretty lax too. Joe had forgotten to take a pretty big pile of change out of his pocket and it didn't set off any alarms. We got to keep our shoes and jackets on.

Salamanca Square. This picture says it all weather wise about our time here -- dark, stormy looking clouds all around, but we're fortunately in the sun when it really mattered.

It's been fun watching Joe drive on the left side of the road. It's been kind of rainy which is good news for him since he keeps using the windshield wiper lever as the turn signal. He's also a bit directionally challenged here. To him, a left turn means a turn in which you have to watch out for oncoming traffic and a right turn is the easy turn. All that is, of course, reversed here. But when I, as the navigator, told him to make a right turn, he moved to the left lane to make the easy turn.
